Food Quality Matters

We get it – you want fresh, healthy food for your family, but finding that at the grocery store is nearly impossible. In the age of artificially created meat, there’s a growing disconnect between food and where it comes from. But together, we can change that. Together is the only way we will change that.

We’d be honored to be your family’s farmer.

When you buy meat from our family farm, it’s more than just a transaction – it’s a personal connection. We shake hands, have real conversations, and build trust. You can feel confident and at peace knowing exactly what you’re feeding your family.

It Begins With Food

No matter where you go in the world, people gather around food. Cultures may have different traditions, ways of growing, and cooking, but sharing a meal is something we all have in common. We treat the food you eat with the significance it deserves, not as a means to make a quick profit.

Food has always been at the heart of life. It’s a universal language that crosses all boundaries and brings people together.

That human connection is something we value. That’s why we’re dedicated to creating the highest quality, nutrient-dense local food for our customers. We believe in real food, grown and crafted with care – something completely different from corporate food and big agriculture.

The Solution is Decentralization.

The US food supply chain is highly centralized and corporatized, making it vulnerable and controllable. This was highlighted during COVID, where we saw bare shelves at grocery stores across America (completely avoidable and unnecessary).

Collectively, we all do our part to fix that broken system by supporting small, local farms that produce and sell directly to the public. This is called decentralization, which is the key to restoring trust, resliency and independence to our food system.

Our Story

Our Story

Nestled in the rolling green hills of Boyle and Mercer counties lies our family farm. We come from long lines of multi-generation farming families dating back hundreds of years. After leaving the farms to pursue other careers, we’ve returned to agriculture and started our own farm with the primary goal of creating a farm-to-family business model, bypassing the conventional farm sales channels.

Over the years, we have seen farmers create great food, meat and crops, only to get hammered by the highly centralized Big Ag business model, leaving them struggling to make ends meet. The scales are lopsided; the corporations make big money, the farmer gets the shaft and the consumer gets second class products and service. Now we’re applying our entrepreneurial expertise to this farm, on a mission to flip the script on food supply. That means first and foremost having a direct line to the end consumers of our products. Turns out, that’s also the best way to get really high quality, all natural food to your family.

Because we sell directly to families, we have to make sure everything we do is the absolute best. In this scenario, the scales are back in line and we all win. Our Customers get fresh meat and produce from a local farmer and we run a profitable business that supports other local businesses in our community. Almost like it was meant to be that way!

life on the Dry Branch

Dry Branch Stock Farm is a family farm in the heart of central Kentucky. Founded by Zach and Leah Gibbs, the farm is the product of Zach’s lifelong dream and passion of raising clean, wholesome food to sell locally and helping people to avoid corporate, centralized food sources.

The rolling green hills, the smell of fresh cut hay, the sound of cows calling their calves, and the view of the landscape in Boyle and Mercer Counties are all part of the beauty that inspires Zach, Leah and the Dry Branch Farm family every day.

Dry Branch Stock Farm was created to provide farm fresh meat, produce, and food products to local customers. We believe in a direct-to-consumer, farm-to-family model that allows our customers to know their farmer.

We believe in transparency and encourage you to ask questions so you feel confident in the quality and handling of food we offer.

Life on the Dry Branch is all about growing delicious, wholesome food and celebrating family and community.

Today, we operate our farms in Boyle and Mercer Counties based on a deep commitment to the land and the animals entrusted to our care. Ultimately, we settled in central Kentucky, one of the best places in the world to operate a livestock farm. We built a slaughterhouse on the farm and commercial kitchen to create quality meat and other products to serve our local community.

We want people in our local community to enjoy a personal relationship with their farmer, to know that their food supply is safe and to be able to ask questions about how it’s raised. We opened the Dry Branch Farm Market to make it easy and convenient for members of our community to access all-natural, farm fresh Kentucky meats and agriculture products.

Thank you for taking the time to visit us here and we hope to see you in person real soon!

“Agriculture is the most healthful, most useful, and most noble employment of man.”

We Put an Old Spin on a New Problem.

These days, factory farms and big corporations control the food supply, sending meat and other products back and forth across the country – sometimes even around the world. How did we get here?

We decided to rewind the clock to the early 1900s, back to when my great-grandfather, Denzel Gibbs, raised livestock, butchered on the farm, and sold directly to the local community. Without middlemen, he provided fresh, high-quality food. Today, we call it farm-to-family.

We’ve resurrected that old-fashioned business model, honoring the artisan practices of those who paved the way for small farm agriculture. It’s about more than just food – it’s about preserving a way of life.

Community Involvement in Food Decentralization in Danville KY

And You Can be Part of the Solution.

When you choose local farm-raised products, you’re supporting families in your community and building a stronger connection to the source of your food. You know where your food comes from and who raises it, giving you the power to ask questions and make informed choices.

Family farms prioritize quality over quantity, helping to stimulate the local economy by creating jobs and supporting other small businesses. It keeps money circulating within the community, instead of flowing to large corporate entities.

Plus, small farms use fewer resources, produce less waste, and genuinely care about their customers. By choosing local, you’re not just buying food – you’re investing in a better food system. One that is decentralized and resilient, based on freedom of choice and health.

How to Buy

We all want farm-fresh meat, full of nutrients and raised the right way. We understand that’s hard to do with busy schedules, and can be a pain in the rear to drive many miles out of your way or search different websites looking and ordering. We have several convenient options that make it easy to get the best.

It Begins With Food

It is fascinating how all different cultures gather together (often around a central table) to eat even if their customs, methods of growing, and preparing food vary.

Throughout history, food has been at the center of life. It’s a common bond all humans share, it crosses all barriers with the unique ability to bring us together.

That human connection is special.
